Buddy Reading - Students read with their little buddies, and practiced their coaching techniques.
Book exchange - Students are encouraged to choose at least one fiction.
Social Studies - Government cont. - We looked a bit closer at Canada's Government, especially at the Federal level.
Math - We spent quite a bit of time on this today, marking / reviewing our worksheets on converting fractions and decimals. *The main thing to remember is to make the fraction something out of 10, 100, 1000 (Denominator = a multiple of ten). Then converting to a decimal is straight-forward.
Example: 1/2 = 5/10 = 0.5
1/4 = 25/100 = 0.25
We will be continuing this concept for quite some time, creating equivalent fractions and converting.
