Another busy day!
Students received their Rounding and Comparing Numbers quizzes back and did their corrections. Please sign them to indicate that you have seen them.
Students finished up the math diagnostics, as well.
Writing - students wrote about the story I am reading to them: Girl #85: A Doukhobor Childhood.
Art - We finished our orcas today. Some students put them up on the bulletin board outside our room so check them out!
Social Studies - We continued with our government and federal election study today. We watched two short videos today: Our Right to Vote, and The Electoral System. These can be viewed on the website www.studentvote.ca (under Education Tools).
We talked about the voting process, and looked at the candidates in the Kootenay-Columbia riding. Tomorrow and Friday we will be learning about party platforms.
