Before P.E., we watched a 5 minute video about Syria; it is linked to this blog. We will be taking a closer look at the Syrian crisis and what it is like for refugees. The entire school is supporting awareness of the situation, and also encouraging understanding of cultural differences and developing empathy. It may be that the Syrian family who comes to Revelstoke will be living in Columbia Park and will be attending our school!
There is a film presentation at the Performing Arts Centre (RSS) tomorrow night, from 7:00 until 9:30.
D.A.R.E. - Lesson #10b - Our final formal lesson with Cst. Sharp! We will start our essays tomorrow! The 'graduation ceremony' is set for February 11th, @ 6:30 p.m. A letter will go home tomorrow.
The students wrote two quizzes today: Math Fractions and French Noel vocab. matching. They also had lots of time to work on / finish their Alliteration posters (due Friday!).
*A Steeped Tea Fundraiser notice went home today, so watch for that.
