We started off with an Assembly this morning, then library book exchange, and Valentine's Day bag decorating.
Math - We marked most of the 'L3' package; we will mark the last page on Monday. I also assigned another Math Antics package reinforcing dividing fractions. It has the kids practicing writing reciprocals, then multiplying a fraction's reciprocal to show that it is worth one whole, and then lots of practice using "the flippin' rule"! Ask your child about that :)
Science - We finished writing down the pros and cons of different Energy Resources; these were handed in. Students were given more time today to get their answers off of the Interactive posters around the room. I will be marking both these and the posters this weekend.
This afternoon we also reorganized our Working Binders and cleaned out desks. (Mine will take longer than 15 minutes!)
We ended our day starting an art project. These may take a while as only a few are at the stage where they are drying over the weekend.
Thank you, everyone, who made it to our D.A.R.E. grad celebration last night. I have posted a few photos of the event at the bottom of this page. The Assignment Chart is directly below.
