It was another busy day... here's what we did:

1) We marked the Hard & Fast Rules of Numbers.  No math homework was assigned:)

2) We marked the Math Antics multi-digit multiplication package using BenQ and Ned.
(see photo)  The kids are doing great with this multiplication!!
D, H, & E., Showing their math skills
during marking and review.

3) The kids started the Parts of Speech crossword, and will finish it tomorrow (in class).

Beyond Recycling program with Mrs. Vickers -
We reviewed the eco-footprints (large and small) from last class; considered needs vs wants; and considered the concept of sustainability.

A couple of definitions:
Need - something required for you to survive (food, water, shelter, clothing, ...)

Want - something you'd like to have, but is not necessary to your survival

Sustainability - means you can meet present needs without harming the ability of future generations to meet their needs.

Seventh Generation Sustainability (~140 years)
The Constitution of the Iroquois Nations
"In every deliberation we must consider the impact on the seventh generation."

*Students are expected to complete their Eco Challenges, and may need your help.
Thanks in advance!
