What a day! The dressed me up: I wore a Rastafarian wig & hat, a rhino nose, a unicorn head, some ski goggles, a scarf, and a black witch's skirt. I also had on hand some gold peace sunglasses, a pink cowboy hat, and a colourful sun hat. Nice!

Mr. Brodkorb, Max's dad, came in this morning to give us an introduction to Germany. It was a very informative presentation. Thank you so much for coming in! We all learned a lot.
Max also presented his research on Revelstoke's Big Hill, and a brief history of ski jumping here in Revelstoke!

Math - We learned a saying that will help us remember our Metric System, and makes converting from one measurement to another. The saying is
King henry died by drinking chocolate milk. We wrote notes in our Math Interactive Notebook (photos of my board below). The videos linked to yesterday's blog entry didn't work for us today (too slow) but you can check them out on your own. I watched them without issue after school.
Science - this afternoon, students wrote a "pre-quiz" for the science, which we then marked together as a review. We also read through "The Combine Harvester"; questions about this article, The Screw, and The Piano will all be on the quiz tomorrow, so a review is recommended.
