It was Buddy Reading this morning so students read with their little buddies and completed their questionnaires. Students are collecting information about their little buddies so that they can write a story about them. We will be working on these and be presenting them in June.
We also had book exchange and silent reading for a short bit. On Buddy Reading days, we get P.E., so we headed to the gym for a game of floor hockey. The NHL playoffs are happening so we can at least play our nation's game!
Students got their math quizzes back today, and did very well indeed. Please initial them for a bonus mark. Some word problems were assigned for Monday.
In Music today, the kids continued playing recorders. I haven't heard them for a while but expect they are getting pretty darn good:)
After lunch, Mrs. Vickers came for Beyond Recycling; today's focus: Climate Change. Since Max and Senna did a presentation about Greenhouse Gases and Climate Change, the students had some idea about how it works and what today's concerns are. There are some good videos on the Beyond Recycling website linked on the side bar of this blog. Click on Beyond Recycling, then go to Student info. You will find a series of video links and some graphs.
That's it! Have a wonderful weekend, everyone.
Reminders: Please return swimming waivers and Subway lunch forms a.s.a.p.
