Here's our day in a nutshell:
We started off our morning with math again. We have been working on the steps of long division, single-digit divisor. Yesterday we started some word problems. Today we marked the word problems, then more were assigned. Today's assignment was to set up the problem and complete long division to solve it. Students were also to do the same problem using the 'long division made easy' method that we learned last month. They were also to check their answer(s) using multiplication (divisor X quotient = dividend). There were only three word problems today, the third did not involve both division methods to solve, just thinking through the problem.
We also worked on two more banners, and got started on creating props for the play. Most are doing different things so it made for a very busy classroom. Others practiced their parts for the play.
After lunch and a quick book exchange, students completed their agendas, read, and / or did their math. Then we were off to Jump Rope for Heart outside for an hour. Please return those fundraiser collection envelopes asap.
PAC Newsletter went home today... watch for it.
REMINDER: Swimming tomorrow!
Please sign and return the Kingfisher waiver for the June 1st fieldtrip.
