We focused on the play again this morning, with Mrs. Crockford generously giving her time to help us block things out. We worked in the gym which gave the kids a better idea of how large the stage is going to be!
We also reviewed Simple Machines before the quiz tomorrow. I read, with the kids, three articles about The Screw, The Piano, and The Combine Harvester, examining what simple machines make up these greater compound machines. The students received their Work, Force, and Energy quiz back along with their simple machines assignments so that they can study for tomorrow's quiz.
We created a double bar graph together on the board, then the students completed one in their math diagnostic package.
We also wrote the Roots quiz, a 17 matching question test. We went through them all before hand, then the students had ten minutes to look them over some more. I anticipate that everyone will do well:)
The last quiz that we will be doing is the Immigration lap book quiz (an open book test) on Friday!
