Happy Valentine's Day!

Here's our day, in a nutshell:

First things first: students put their valentines into each others pouches.  Since self-control isn't everyone's forte, this meant that most students snacked on candy all day!

It was also Beach theme day!!
We worked on a couple of different Olympics packages today, one for Language Arts and one math related. I asked that the math package be submitted before lunch time to monitor how much work was completed.

*The Olympic rings project is a carry-over from French when we will be writing sentences about sports that we like or dislike.

Four students in our class competed in the Caribou Cup after recess; another reason why we didn't focus on anything new.

This afternoon, after Music with Mr. Redding, students went to the Valentine's Day dance, some kids showing off their dance moves!

Then back to class where we read We're All Wonders, by R.J. Palacio.  Tomorrow morning we will be going to the Roxy Theatre to watch the full-length film: Wonder.  I am really looking forward to seeing this highly acclaimed movie.  Students should bring non-messy snacks and water; popcorn will not be available for purchase.

PAC NOTICE: Bring a Toonie ($2) on Friday if you would like to partake in the Chinese Food hot lunch!
