Hi folks.  Sorry for the late post, but here it is:

After music with Mr. Redding, students completed a 'Student and Teacher Reflections' sheet to accompany their Written Progress Profiles being sent out this week.

Then we started to learn about the Canadian Shield, Canada's richest in minerals and largest geographical region.  The map is "in progress",  with Tomakin and Damien helping with the key today. We worked on this package throughout the day, reading and highlighting, as well as working on various activities within the package.

After recess, there was a Jump Rope for Heart assembly to tell us about the purpose of this organization and to introduce the kids to this year's prizes.  Students are encouraged to register online for receiving donations, and have a chance to earn extra prizes by doing so.

*I forgot to send home the envelopes for Jump Rope for Heart incase people prefer that method of collecting donations.  I'll send them home tomorrow.  Please return any unused envelopes at the end of the campaign.  Thanks.

We practiced serving in volleyball during P.E.  Volleyball is a very skillful sport so it is difficult for many of these kids.

After lunch, we had another music rehearsal in preparation for the concert on Wednesday @ 1:30.

Following that, we reviewed the Greek & Latin Roots U6 vocabulary for a short quiz on Wednesday.  There will not be a spelling portion, just matching and using the vocabulary.

We also had Library Book Exchange, and students had more time to work on their Social Studies package.
