Hello, folks! Another beautiful sunny day... perfect for our Jump Rope for Heart outdoor skipping event this afternoon. The photo of Tomakin was taken by his brother, Estaeban!
A reminder: a couple more swimming forms and replies for the PAUSE for Mental Health program to come in. Please get these in as soon as possible.
We started our morning re-reading the legend "The Three Sisters" about the companionship growing of Corn, Bean, and Squash. Ask your child to re-tell the story to you.
Next, the students worked on math word problems. They were about money and all were related to the Holes novel we read earlier. The kids worked through these for quite a while, recalling how to borrow to subtract, and multiply larger numbers. They also had to make up their own money-related word problem, show the work, and solve it. This is due tomorrow:)
After recess, we learned about the Hudson Bay Lowlands, highlighting and discussing, then read the story: Winston of Churchill.
