 Gilakas'la

We are starting many new units / areas of study this week!  

In Language Arts, watched a couple of videos about Parts of Speech, then colour-coded the entries for our Interactive Notebook.  Tomorrow we will add notes to each section.

During Math, we did some multiplication drills involving X10, X100, X1000.  We also did another couple of Hooray for Arrays! sheets for numbers 32 and 20. 

In the afternoon, I read a short bit from My Side of the Mountain before we created a new page for our circle book.  This time our focus was the Ten Kwakwaka'wakw Teachings.  The students added the meanings for each of the teachings to their own wheel.                                                                                  Lastly, after P.E., we read and discussed a passage entitled Canada's Amazing Geography as we head into our unit learning more about Canada's past and about landforms.
