 Happy Tuesday!

Here's a quick look at our day:

We continued learning about Allusion, our latest literary device.  Students added the definition to their snow globes, invented their own sentence, then added a picture.  Here are a couple of different literary devices that we have been learning about.

This is another page in our Allusion package.

In Math, we did much of the same:
Drills That Thrilll - Their multiplication facts recall are really coming along, with students making their personal best on a daily basis!

Next, we colour-coded and examined the patterns of the multiples of 6 and 7.

Then,  students re-visited the Hooray for Arrays activity, focusing on numbers 24 and 11.  This actually took the rest of math class.

I started reading the classic: My Side of the Mountain; yesterday I read only the Preface.

After P.E., students wrote the Brain Quiz!  I am impressed with how much the kids learned in a relatively short space of time.

Finally, students have been working on designing their Valentines with "Zentangles" (see examples below).

This took the rest of the day, beside the end-of-the-day clean-up.
