Here's a quick look at our day:
We continued learning about Allusion, our latest literary device. Students added the definition to their snow globes, invented their own sentence, then added a picture. Here are a couple of different literary devices that we have been learning about.

Next, we colour-coded and examined the patterns of the multiples of 6 and 7.
Then, students re-visited the Hooray for Arrays activity, focusing on numbers 24 and 11. This actually took the rest of math class.
I started reading the classic: My Side of the Mountain; yesterday I read only the Preface.
After P.E., students wrote the Brain Quiz! I am impressed with how much the kids learned in a relatively short space of time.
Finally, students have been working on designing their Valentines with "Zentangles" (see examples below).
This took the rest of the day, beside the end-of-the-day clean-up.
