Math - We practiced Making Tens again, using Kim Sutton's Random Numbers CD, a fun way to build fluency.  We also reviewed some math vocabulary, and added Commutative Law (8+2=10, 2+8=10).  Lastly, students started their Interactive Notebooks today, adding "Looking at Numbers".

I continued to read the Doukhobor story, reviewing aspects of history and discussing Doukhobor culture.  Ask your kids about this!

French - Because we didn't have much time yesterday, we continued basic instructions.  We also read Une Journee Typique, and practiced using Bonjour and Au revoir.  [Sorry, I can't add the proper accents on here; will have to copy and paste from Word in the future.]

Art - Students worked on finishing their name plates and their personal collages.  I also assessed their 'critical assessment' of their name plates during this time.

I will make a separate post bringing you up to date regarding the field trip.
