Today seemed very busy. Perhaps it was the beautiful sunshine that made everyone lively.
Math - We marked / reviewed our Column Addition worksheets, looking for different ways to add numbers together. Later in the day, the students also started their Vancouver Island diagnostic, a tool I use to see what concepts they know as a class, and where I need to focus my attention.
*There will be a Rounding and Comparing Numbers Quiz tomorrow.
Social Studies: Government continued - Rights and Responsibilities
We looked at Canada's Charter of Rights and Freedom today. Students have an assignment about identifying what issues may be a right or a responsibility, and why. (We will discuss these further tomorrow.) I will also be tying these into our class community's right (to learn) and responsibility (to let others learn).
Bottle Bring-In * A note was sent home today as a reminder for our Bottle Bring-In after Thanksgiving to help cover some of our costs for our field trip. Any parent help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Tuesday, October 13th, 8:00 a.m. to 9:15ish.
Subway order forms went home today. Look for these (they are blue!).
Enjoy your evening:)
