Happy Friday!
We started our morning reading with our Little Buddies from Ms. Noel's class:)
Math - Today we marked and reviewed rounding and comparing numbers to the millions; we didn't get to the adding columns so both sides of the worksheet have been assigned for homework due Monday.
*Don't forget to sign your child's math quiz (they got it back yesterday) indicating that you have seen it. We will have a short quiz next week on rounding and comparing numbers.
Music - Students continue to learn songs on the ukelele with Mr. Rogers. One of these days I am going to sit in with my own (my aunt's) ukelele!
Social Studies - Government & Democracy was the focus today. We watched a short video, filled in some information sheets, then completed a review of Canada's federation, and Canada's government.
If you are checking their work at home, I expect upper case letters where appropriate, and correct spelling.
The videos are on www.studentvote.ca , a really great resource we are using while learning about our government and the upcoming Federal election.
A notice went home today about a 'We to Me Thanksgiving Food Drive'. We will be collecting all week.
We are also collecting donations for the Terry Fox throughout the week. Thanks if you have already contributed. I told the class that if they raise $150, they can throw a pie in my face:(
Have a super weekend!
