In math, we started off with a 3-minute subtraction drill.  After marking it, we discussed various strategies to use.  This was very good; I am looking forward to seeing if it makes a difference tomorrow when we do the drill again.

We also did some worksheets which involved identifying decimals and fractions on number lines, as well as placing them on number lines.  We will continue these tomorrow.

"Liberals Triumph in Federal Election" - We read this article today, highlighting key aspects and discussing politics:)  I am truly amazed about how aware these young students have become about the Canadian government.  (Tomorrow we will continue reading the article, and then answering questions related to it.)

This afternoon, after music with Mr. Rogers, we reviewed a simple French conversation.  We also reviewed what each of the phrases / words mean.  Then we practiced little skits; some students volunteered already to do theirs in front of the class:)
*We will continue 'performing' tomorrow, and will write a matching quiz on Wednesday.

Reminders:
Field trip first thing tomorrow morning to the recycle depot and to the landfill.  Dress appropriately for the weather, and bring a snack.  An umbrella is recommended, as are boots, hat, gloves, and layers for warmth.
