Math - We didn't get to the equivalent fractions as planned, but did a number of other things for math.
-Timed multiplication drill, then graphed results on their line graphs.
-Reviewed 2X table, then timed the kids (1 min.); Next students calculated some 2X 2-digit and 3-digit numbers.
-Next, we watched a couple of videos about Simplifying Fractions (see link on this blog). Just before recess, we added notes about what we learned in our Interactive Notebooks.
Following recess, we had P.E., then practiced / prepared for the "Life Cycle of Stuff" presentations for Mrs. Vickers in the afternoon.
Beyond Recycling in the afternoon include watching the presentations and some videos about How to Make pencils, glass bottles, aluminum cans, and denim jeans.
The kids did a great job pulling their presentations together. They were very informative and creative. We had a poster presentation, two skits, and a videoed skit with accompanying video.
