Good day! I actually have a bad cold so was not here this morning. Ms. Kretchmer was in instead, and reported back that all went well.
Math -
1) Timed multiplication (we haven't done this for a while); graph results on bar graph.
2) Marked / Reviewed L6 Fractions (package assigned last Friday).
3) Students were assigned a new 3 page package from Math Antics: Mixed Numbers and Improper Fractions. This should be review from last week when we watched a couple of videos and practiced converting mixed to improper and vice versa. *This is to be completed for tomorrow.
P.E. - badminton continued
Language Arts - Students are working on their D.A.R.E. 5 X 5 essays, outlines and drafts.
After lunch, Mr. Rogers took the students for music; they are learning to play the recorders.
I was with the students for the remainder of the day. They worked on their Energy Interactive posters or started typing their D.A.R.E. essays in the computer day.
We will continue both of these over the next couple of days. The DARE essays should be done by Tuesday so we can choose a few to be read at our DARE graduation celebration on Feb. 11th.
The posters are due Thursday!
