Happy Groundhog Day!
Math - We marked our Math Antics worksheets today, and most students are really getting good at converting improper fractions to mixed numbers (and vice versa). I assigned another practice sheet (two sides) which is due tomorrow. *There will be short quiz on this on Thursday, giving us more time to practice tomorrow too. I believe the kids are ready:)
Although students wrote in their Agendas that the Identifying Literary Devices Quiz was returned today, it was not. I want to go over it with the students; there wasn't time today to do it well.
Students had time to work on their D.A.R.E. essays today; we will continue tomorrow.
They also had time to work on their Energy Resource Interactive poster. These are due Thursday!
This afternoon, Mrs. Vickers came in for Beyond Recycling. She demonstrated three models of energy: hydroelectric, solar, and wind. The kids were gathered in groups for small-group presentations.
