I just got back from the double badminton tournament for Grades 5 and 6 held at Arrow Heights. There was some great rallies happening out there! Well done, boys and girls:)
Our day was very productive. We started our morning painting / colouring our hearts!
Ask your child:)
After recess, we went to the computer lab to do some coding (Scratch program). The kids are zipping along with these. Then it was time for a game of Bench Ball in P.E.
(Tough morning!)
PAC served pizza to those who ordered it. Many thanks, parents!
After lunch, after marking the Fractions word problems from yesterday, the students did a variety of things:
- filled in their Agenda;
- worked on a new math package, practicing multiplying and dividing fractions;
- finishing the Simple Machines reading comprehension package (Sandi Lee, author);
- finishing the French worksheets which will be due on Tuesday, with a Quiz on Wednesday.
- reading silently or working on their art heart
Overall, the kids handled this open catch-up time quite well. They shouldn't have much homework for Monday.
Reminder: Tomorrow is a pro-d day for teachers; no school for students.
*I will be attending a French workshop at the school for the day. I am quite looking forward to it.
Enjoy your long weekend!
PS) I will have to post the Assignment Check tomorrow as my phone / camera is in the car.
