We accomplished quite a lot today. This is what we did:
Beyond Recycling: Transportation - We finished our worksheet for this mini-unit together as a class.
Then it was time for P.E. We played badminton for one of the last times this year:)
After P.E., we read through a booklet about Simple Machines, highlighting definitions as necessary.
Following Recess, we continued with this booklet, then read and worked on a Reading Comprehension package about Simple Machines. These packages will be due Monday; sentences are to be answered completely and thoroughly.
After lunch we did Agendas and marked the Fractions word problems from yesterday. About a third of the class had completed them for today. Everyone was encouraged to write down the steps as they were being shown on the overhead. They have a new worksheet with five more word problems on it. We went over in class how to set these up, and the students were given a fair bit of time to work on them; they are due tomorrow.
This took us to 2:00 when we did some French. The kids were given a worksheet where they are to identify nouns as masculine or feminine, and then to test themselves on what the nouns were. They could use their La Salle de Classe package to look up items they forgot. This will be due Tuesday.
The students received another French worksheet to complete for Tuesday: Drawing and colouring class items as instructed (in French).
And that was our day!
