We got caught up a bit with math this morning:
We entered notes into our Interactive Notebook (see pics), and practiced solving some fractions word problems. These are difficult; we will be working on these for several days. I hope to give a Quiz early next week.
After recess and P.E., the kids had a fun time tie-dying with the grade seven leaders. Several other students helped fill bags of popcorn, our donation to the Me to We bake sale tomorrow and Thursday; money to go to the community Syrian refugee family fund.
After lunch, we continued with a Beyond Recycling lesson: Transportation. We compared a bicycle with a car, and looked at various forms of transportation (past, present, future), keeping in mind CO2 emissions, energy consumption, and more.
We ended our day 'painting' black lines onto our heart projects. These will have to dry for a couple of days.
