Good day!
Today was CPE's annual Spelling Bee, and the kids did great! How brave to get up there in front of so many people and then have to spell! Charley and Senna participated from our class.
The results are: 1st (Zoe Larson), 2nd (Joe Bailey), 3rd (Bence Berkenbosch), 4th (Aiden Hill), and 5th (Cooper Horning). The top four spellers will be representing CPE at BVE on March 5th!
Library with Mrs. Tomm - In the computer lab, most of the kids finished up their activity cards for Scratch, a coding program. Next week, they will be starting their project.
After lunch, students started creating a French booklet: Qu'est-ce que tu as? (What do you have?) On each page they write this question, then answer using school items with one or two colours.
For example: J'ai une poubelle grise et bleue. (I have a grey and blue garbage can.)
Quizzes Returned!! Both the French (La Salle de Classe) and Math (Multiplying & Dividing Fractions) were returned today. I was very impressed with the results:) Please sign them for a bonus point for your child. (It also shows you what they have been learning.)
Students were asked to complete their Agendas but I did not sign them.
After French, we headed to the computer lab to continue working on the Simple Machines worksheet (EdHeads.org). This took us to the end of the day.
*I will post a photo of the class on yesterday's blog for Pink Day!
NOTICE: We are going to the hockey rink tomorrow morning to watch three classmates play a game; they have a tourney this weekend. The players are: Sawyer Grimm, Ryan Howe, and Justin Kungl.
PAC CARNIVAL is happening tomorrow evening!! 6-8:00!
