Being the flexible people that we are, we changed our agenda this morning to accommodate the special activities planned for the afternoon in celebration of Pink Shirt Day.  Ms. Bouvette and the Me to We Club organized a 'feel good' activity and a painted-hand mural activity.  The photos and positive comments surrounding each child will be printed off; I hope to send them home with the report cards so that they reach you safely:)

We began our day with agendas and writing rough copies of letters to our Pen Pals.

Then, at 9:00, we went to PE for a quick game of Capture the Flag.

At 9:30, we were back in class writing the French Quiz!  This gave extra time for students who needed to stay in at recess to complete their quiz.

After recess, we had a nice long time for Art; we worked on our Heart Art project.

In the afternoon, before and after the above-described activity, I read more from the story Girl #85. The kids really wanted me to continue reading this eye-opening story of a young Doukhobor girl's experience at the New Denver residential school.

Check out a couple of new links on this blog (under Websites): Quia and Quia Calendar.  There's a place on Quia for feedback; comments / suggestions always welcome.
