We had a few more Energy Resource Interactive poster presentations this morning: Sydnie and Halle each did a Tidal Energy poster, and Josie & Tiffany presented their Coal Energy poster. The latter group even had pieces of coal for the kids to touch. After the presentations, the students went around the classroom to write down the pros and cons of each of the Energy Resources. There are still a couple of posters yet to come in; hopefully we will be able to finish this up by the end of the week.
In Language Arts, we looked at Roots and Prefixes! We will save Suffixes for tomorrow. The first three pages of this package is due tomorrow.
Math - We marked the Math Antics Multiplying Fractions package... and the kids are doing great with this. I also gave a second written assignment, this one is about Fractions. Most handed it in already; it is due tomorrow morning, first thing.
Greg Tang's Valentine's Math Challenge - students are welcome to try this out. Even if they just play some of the games, it will be fun and educational. Go to gregtangmath.com.
In French, we looked at "La Salle de Classe" - items in the classroom. We focussed on identifying masculine or feminine objects, which will become important when we include adjectives (descriptors including colours).
