Battle of the Books! Arrow Heights Elementary and Begbie View Elementary schools joined us this morning for the annual Battle of the Books event! What fun it was, too! All of the teams at each grade level did a terrific job. We had a couple of 'sudden death' situations which really made things exciting. Congratulations, everyone!
After recess, students explored a new App: Explain Everything. This is on the school iPads so will be available for project creation for the Human Body unit. It is an amazing App; I was able to download it for free for my own iPad. Now, if only I can learn as quickly as the kids:)
I sent a letter home today, explaining that we will be doing the Puberty unit next week, likely Wednesday or Thursday. If you do not wish your child to participate, please make sure you sign the letter and return it by Monday. Thanks.
After lunch, the students wrote their Metric Conversions quiz for math. They have caught on to converting very quickly, thanks to King Henry!
Lastly, most students finished their pen pal letters today. We probably only have time for one more letter before the end of the year!
Enjoy your sunny evening:)
