We had our third swimming lesson today; I have include a couple of photos.

Once back at school, students ate their snacks while finishing some art, working on science, and / or doing some light socializing.

After lunch we worked very hard to make up for our morning:)  We completed some notes in our Interactive Notebook for Language Arts: Plot Structure and Types of Conflict.  When that was done, students presented their Les Sports booklet en français.   They did very well with their pronunciation.  I have collected the booklets to now mark the sentences conventions and spelling.

Some students participated in the vow of silence event organized by the "Me To We" club. Their silence is in recognition of the 85 million children in this world who do not receive a formal education.
*Change is also being collected for education programs in India.

REMINDERS:
Sports Day is Friday!  Grade 5s have been asked to bring apples (cut up) or cherry tomatoes. Remember that the Betts are BBQing  some hotdogs - donations for Children's Hospital will be gratefully accepted for these. Fruits and veggies will be supplied (donations from various classes).

TOMORROW - Field trip to the Visual Arts Centre to see the RSS students' art show.  We will be walking there and back (so wear good shoes), and will be gone all afternoon.

Enjoy your evening.
