Terrific Tuesday

In math, students worked on a long division crossword puzzle, the first page of an activity-filled booklet reinforcing long division skills.  I also returned their pop quiz from yesterday, and have to say I am impressed with how well they all did:)  We will now start to look at short cuts and other ways to do division.

We fit in some Language Arts after math, writing in notes for the Story Structure lesson we started yesterday.  We also added a diagram for Plot Structure and related notes into our Interactive Notebooks.

Then it was time for the school run to qualify for the 800 m run for districts.

Mrs. Vickers was in for our last class of Beyond Recycling!  She showed a slide show of the year's events.  The kids also did a quiz about what they had learned by participating in the Beyond Recycling program. This was the first time that this program was offered in Revelstoke, so we were very lucky to have it as part of our curriculum.

After lunch was Mindful May - the different house teams did various relaxation / de-stressing activities.

Following that, Mr. Pinko volunteered to teach the kids how to do shot put properly.  I appreciate his expertise in this area; a big thank you for his time.

Reminders:
Swimming tomorrow morning
Bake sale fundraiser for Fort Mac again tomorrow
French "Les Sports" booklet is due; we will be starting presentations tomorrow
