Sorry for the late post, folks.  There's no homework you need to urge your child to do, so all is good.

I went to the Around the World dance recital this evening... well done Hope, Tiffany, and Halle! You did so well, and looked beautiful, too!

A big thank you to Dr. Brown!
We had a guest in our class today: Dr. Sara Brown came in to teach the kids about the respiratory system and the harmful effects of smoking.  The students were able to share their knowledge as well, which really added to Dr. Brown's presentation/ lesson. She brought stethoscopes so the kids could listen to their lungs before and after exercising. She also brought pig lungs: one healthy set and the other with the effects of a long time smoker. I have made a separate post for the photos of our day so that they can be more easily referenced.

When we weren't studying pigs' lungs, I did some more lessons about Social Thinking, building on their knowledge of Superflex and the Team of Unthinkables.  The students have been great about learning along side me, and providing some valuable feedback about the way we are doing things.  I am still working on the parents' brochure.... it's coming!

Oh, we also played a 'game' that involved a bus driver, five passengers, and a lot of emotions! (see photos)
