Oops! I almost forgot to write up our day.
We had our first Exploration Friday event this afternoon, one third of the students learning about the elements & principals of art with me, one third doing drama with Mrs. Hill, and another third doing various building / programming things with Mrs. Tomm. This will continue for eight weeks, then the groups (a combo of grades 5, 6, and 7) will switch to another area of study.
In art we put together a notebook, painted a canvas board a solid colour (for a future project), took some notes about LINE, and started some Zentangle designs.
This took up most of our afternoon.
Now for the morning...
We started with an assembly, then learned some more French (la salle de classe vocabulary). After recess we had P.E., and did some math. Then it was lunch time. Yikes! I don't know where the time goes.
