Happy Mid-week Wednesday! It is going quickly.
This morning during Language Arts, students worked on the rough draft of their 'story'. Most have finished this portion of the assignment. We will be typing these up soon, learning how to use spell check, grammar check, and the thesaurus on the computer to help improve our writing.
We played Fort Knox in gym today, selected by our birthday girl:)
After recess, the kids were introduced to Social Thinking. We set up our Interactive Notebooks for this focus, and will add to it as we learn about social thinking: what it is, how it affects us and how we affect it, and various other aspects of social interactions.
After lunch, we learned how to play Sudoku, reviewed how to borrow when necessary while subtracting, and practiced checking the answers using digital roots. This is still a bit confusing for some... don't worry, it will get easier.
At the end of the day, students learned some new French vocabulary about items in "la salle de classe". We will continue these next class.
