Key concepts: addition involving carrying, and finding the digital roots of both the sum and the addends (numbers being added together) because they are the same, you have added correctly!
After recess, students started writing "their story", using their beads on the string as the key events to guide their writing. We will continue working on this throughout the week, eventually typing it into good copy to which the string of beads will be attached.
We also reviewed goal setting, adding mistakes in goal setting; the students are starting to think of personal social/behaviour, academic, and 'other' short-term goals they may set for themselves.
After lunch it was P.E., a story: Peace Dancer. Students then wrote an entry in their Reflective Journal about why love and respect is important in our world. I look forward to reading their thoughts on this. We did a quick book exchange, then our day was done:)
