Happy Monday!
Our day went quickly. This is how it looked:
In Library with Mrs. Tomm, students did a scavenger hunt to help them become acquainted with where to find various books / sources of information.
After recess, students completed their agendas and had some time for silent reading before music with Mr. Redding.
After lunch, we got into some math. I gave the students a worksheet package (5 pages but there aren't that many questions on each page). It involves adding numbers, then checking the addition using digital roots. This is a fun way to get back into adding to ten. *Those students who feel comfortable doing so are using the "cross out the 9s" trick to find the digital root.
After math, we tidied up the room and prepared for the end of the day before heading to the gym for P.E., where we played different tag games.
*Please check your child's agenda, and make sure that they finish up their math package for tomorrow.
