Good day!  Here it is...

We started the morning with Korah's Immigration Project presentation about her Great Great Great Great Grandparent (I may have too many Greats in there!).  Well done, Korah.  Good for you for having it done before your holidays in the new year:)

Next, we did another summarizing activity (#23), this time about Marco Polo.

There was not time to check our math from yesterday, although we tried to fit it in periodically.
Instead, we practiced the song and dance for Monday's Concert!! (That's the special event!)

We painted the Grinch today, too, and they turned out wonderfully!  (see photos) Mrs. Vickers and Liam mounted them onto a banner for the concert decorations.

We also worked a lot on French today, learning some colours and starting new presentation booklets.  The question is "Qu'est-ce qu'il y a?" (What is it? / What are they?)
Students write "Il y a _________."  They use numbers, colours and nouns, keeping in mind masculine / feminine nouns and singular / plural.  Lots to think about!!

Examples: Il y a une cadeau bleue.
Il y a deux rennes brunes.
Il y a trois bas jaunes et mauves.

Now I'm off to decorate the gym for the concert Monday. There will be a dress rehearsal in the morning; parents are welcome to attend but be reminded that we may still be working out some kinks.

Thanks to PAC for providing a free hot pasta lunch today for our students!

Enjoy your weekend.  The snow is coming:)
