Thursday June 1st, 2017

Welcome to June 2017!  Our day didn't go quite as planned.  The field trip to Kingfisher to release our Chinook fry didn't happen... conditions at Kingfisher are too dangerous.  Heavy rains overnight and a log jam behind the Centre added to these unsafe conditions.  So the fish are back in the tank after wondering what was happening, and we will have to wait and see what happens next.

With many disappointed 'kidlets' (and adults, too)  we went instead along the trails in Arrow Heights that took us to Williamson's Lake. We had lunch at the lake, then played in the playground and built dams and waterways down along the water's edge.  It was perfect weather and everyone was wonderful.

We arrived back at school around 1:15 so started to work on our props some more.  A few of the students got the village painted so we can start on the designs soon before putting it all together.
