We spent our day with Mrs. Vickers, facilitator of the Wildsight eco stewardship program, first at Bridge Creek and then further along the Greenbelt at Mark Kingsbury Bridge.  Brian Gadbois joined us at Bridge Creek to talk to the students about the area's past, kokanee, and the role that the Rod and Gun Club play in stewardship programs.

At Kingsbury Bridge students did several jobs as part of their stewardship.  They topped up previously planted willow and cottonwood saplings with a compost and bone meal mixture, pulled vetch, an invasive species, and planted snowberry saplings.  The students worked hard and did a great job to help prevent erosion and expand biodiversity in the area.

Thanks to Ashley Carley who helped us out for the day.
