Wednesday, June 7, 2017 - Wildsight EcoSystem Fieldtrip

Today was a full day field trip with Mrs. Vickers from Wildsight.  Today's focus was "change", were students reflected on how the ecosystem along that part of the Columbia River has changed, either by natural or man-made causes.  We started off at the boat ramp then proceeded to the Revelstoke Dam for a tour.  We even got to go downstairs for a special tour!
Next, we went to the Workers' Memorial at the ball fields where we met up with Emily and Robin from CSISS to talk about Invasive Species.  They showed the kids ones that we have talked about in class during an earlier presentation, the played a couple of games before it was time to board the bus and head back to school.  It was a super day; we were all tired by the end.  (See pics below)

REMEMBER that tomorrow is another Wildsight field trip, this time to Bridge Creek and along the Green Belt.  Dress appropriately (prepared for all weather) and bring a large lunch and plenty of water.  Proper shoes are a must - no sandals please.

Friday morning is District Track.  Also, a letter went home re: reserving seats for the Salmon Connection performance June 22nd.
