We held the Halloween parade first thing this morning. There were some terrific costumes this year.
When we returned to the classroom, I read the book: The Mummer Song. Then we watched a video clip about making an ugly stick in which the Mummer Song was playing in the background. Next we watched a couple of short clips about ugly sticks being played.
Mr. Redding took the kids to the gym to practice some dance moves!!
We also created a table in which to organize our candy counts. This is a math assignment for tomorrow; students must bring in their candy data in order to graph their haul tomorrow. Yes, it's worth marks too!
Please send a tallish jar (not too big) to make rock candy. We'll do it as soon as we have enough containers.
This afternoon we listened to Johnny Appleseed, told by Dennis Day. It's an old record that I used to listen to as a young girl:) We ate apples, too.
