Hi folks.
Today was a rather crazy day, several different things going on. We started our morning doing the Greek & Latin Unit 3 Spelling / Vocabulary Quiz. Some students went to do the Caribou Cup in the computer lab with Mrs. T., so did their U3 quiz later.
At 9:30 we went to the Scholastic Book Fair, a major fundraiser for our school library.
After recess we attended a special presentation in the auditorium: a Science World presentation. I will post a separate entry because I need to charge up my phone before uploading the pictures I took.
Upon our return to the classroom we did Agendas and put a cotton string into the colour syrup for Rock Candy. The paper straws weren't cutting it and I was able to find the right kind of string at the Dollar Store. Thank goodness for Mrs. Campbell who spends time with us.... she supervised all of this (and then some!). Thank you!!
After lunch were photo retakes so the gym was occupied. We discussed some big issues around the FSAs, including diagnostics unto themselves, socioeconomics, advantaged / disadvantaged, fairness, and social development.
Then we did some math (briefly) before going to Mrs. Gauer's room to read with our little buddies.
I am heading home to try to get caught up on all the marking now:)
REMINDER: FRENCH HALLOWEEN VOCABULARY QUIZ TOMORROW
