In an effort to get students to school on time, we have been starting in the computer lab for fifteen minutes. Students worked on MasterKey or Mathletics.
Back in the classroom we did Agendas and received the CPE Newsletter to take home.
Then we went to PE and practiced shooting baskets.
We played Debout les 7 to further practice the Halloween vocabulary. The French Quiz is on Friday!
After recess we added more notes and illustrations about Social Thinking. I also introduced a summary of the Core Competencies; we reflected on how we have already addressed several aspects of the Communication Core Competency while doing the Immigration Projects.
We will take a look at the other competencies later. **I will create a separate post for this later.
Mr. Redding had the kids for Music this afternoon. They have been working on their song for the Christmas concert.
Also this afternoon, during Library, Mrs. Tomm introduced an "Instructional Writing" activity about "How to Brush Your Teeth". She followed the instructions of some of the students' work, making it very funny and exaggerating missed or potentially confusing steps. The photos below show a variety of the students' work, as well as the assignment itself.
