Sorry about no post yesterday; just couldn't fit it into my day. I did post some Olafs that we made for our little buddies, though. We gave them to them today after breakfast.
We recruited Mr Redding for this. |
Students made mincemeat tarts with Mrs. Wegner. |
In the middle of our day, the kids wrote their final journal entry of the year. They wrote about which country of those in our Christmas Around the World unit they found most interesting / intriguing. I look forward to reading their thoughts.
We also counted up our donated money and learned about Doctors Without Borders and Plan Canada. We then chose which items / programs we would like to spend our ..... wait for it.......$906.00! The kids brought in $433, I doubled it to $866, then added another $40 because the Endless Harvest for $40 was wanted by someone. Wow! I took a photo of our planning board but will type it up and repost. Many of the items were "matched" by various ratios so the actual value of our donations was huge. I will post both so that you can see.
I didn't get time to test any Holes projects today but their completion is duly notes. Thanks for getting them in on time. I have posted a couple of photos of those as well.

Written Progress Profiles went home today. Inside is also a letter, a survey, a copy of your child's art card, and a little something math related.
Merry Christmas everyone, and many thanks for your generosity. Until next year.....
