Happy Friday!  Don't forget the CPE Carnival tonight from 6:00 - 8:00!!  This is a huge fundraiser for our PAC... Thank you so much for organizing and running this fun event!

We spent our entire morning before recess with our little buddies creating an Inuit art project.  First we watched a video about a 90 year old artist Elisapee Ishulutaq, a receiver of the Order of Canada, who created a mural about life when she was growing up in Nunavut.   ELISAPEE%20ISHULUTAQ%20–%20Inuit%20Art%20Centre.htm

Then we painted our hands and prepared our papers for next time we get together.  The attached photo (not one of Ishulutaq's) is the inspiration for our project.

After recess, we worked on our French projects.
Students first coloured the Olympic rings then added pictures of the winter games.  Next, they typed up or hand-wrote sentences about their likes and dislikes.  [See vocabulary below pictures.] The examples below are those that were finished today.
