After Music this morning with Mr. Redding, we started the French presentations "Qu'est-ce que tu fais?" Seven students were ready, nine were not, and two were absent. We will have the remaining presentations tomorrow.
We managed to fit in a multiplication drill and graphing of results before recess. Then continued with some more decimals and fractions practice. Students also worked in groups to arrange various decimal numbers in order from least to greatest. *There will be a short quiz tomorrow to re-address those concepts that caused some confusion on the last quiz. The students have voiced that they are ready.
After lunch today we had a special guest: Ms. Mooney, a police officer from Edmonton who also speaks to groups about being safe and about being curious and not judging others. Ask your child about what he /she took away from the presentation.
To end our day, students had about 45 minutes to write in their Reflective Journal about an aspect of the presentation that especially grabbed them.
It doesn't look like much but it felt like a busy day.
REMINDER: A couple of swimming forms are still outstanding, as well as the bottom portion of the blue PAUSE letter that was sent home. Please return as soon as possible.
JUMP ROPE FOR HEART is coming up this Thursday so all money envelopes should be returned on that day. Thanks in advance for your support!
