Good day, folks.  Here's how ours went:

We started our morning with another math quiz about decimals and fractions, this time to clear up misunderstandings from the previous quiz.  Hopefully everyone's comprehension is clear now.

Mr. Redding took the kids to PE where they developed their baseball skills.

After recess, we continued our study about hydraulic fracturing (a.k.a. fracking).  After watching several short videos (see links), students wrote - in their words - what fracking is and how it's done.

How does fracking work? – Mia Nacamulli [6:03]

Fracking explained: opportunity or danger [5:03]

The impact of fracking [3:53]

Devastating footage of a land drill rig fire [2:56]

Bill Nye – Are you for or against fracking?

After lunch, the grade fives participated in the PAUSE for Mental Health program with Ms. Lussier while the grade fours were placed in various classrooms.
[see photos below] **A description of today's session was sent home with your child; I stapled it into their Agendas.

Upon our return, we had a few more French presentations; there are still students who have not finished theirs.  Tomorrow will be the final opportunity for presenting.
