Hi folks!  Another sunny day ... I hope you got to enjoy some of it.

First off, an important reminder about the Arctic Lowlands Quiz tomorrow! Students have been encouraged to read over their package, focussing on the highlights and side notes.

We started our day with math drills and graphing, then practicing addition of decimals.  The kids worked very well this morning, being quiet and focussed.  *Both sides are due tomorrow.
I also returned the quiz from yesterday and we reviewed some of the more common errors. Students get a bonus point if they get their parent's signature on it!

After recess, we read an article called "Why the Fuss About Fracking?" Page 22 was assigned for tomorrow.  Students are to list the pros (for) and cons (against) of fracking. Then they were to write a paragraph about whether they were for or against it, giving supporting reasons for their stance.

After lunch, the grade fours worked with Ms. Kretchmer on an Energy package while the grade fives participated in Session 1 of the PAUSE for Mental Health program with Ms. Lussier. One of the activities that they did was write words or draw emojis to show how they were feeling when four different scenarios were described.  I have included a couple of examples of the kids' drawings.
*If you have not returned the bottom portion of the blue PAUSE form that went home, please do so.  You are invited to attend three sessions; you will receive a free lunch and then be part of the session with the students.

**Important reminder: PAC hot lunch (free) tomorrow: Mac and Cheese with salad!  Thank you again PAC for your generosity.
