Good day, folks.  No post yesterday; I had a TTOC in for the afternoon and didn't get to the post.

Here's today's though:

We started our morning with a review of the Arctic Lowlands in preparation for the Quiz on Friday!
Students were also to complete the Venn Diagram identifying the similarities and differences of a kayak and an umiak. The picture is what we did together on the board; students were to make sure that they had all of these facts on their own Venn.

Students also had some time to work on their French booklet: Qu'est-ce que tu fais?
Presentations will begin on Monday so the booklet is due then.

After recess, we had the Fractions- Decimals (tenths and hundredths) Quiz.

A few students also had time to work on their Earth Day contest picture throughout the day.

After lunch, Mr. Redding took the kids to the gym for a special workshop about Uzume Taiko Drumming.  The kids had a great time and were good listeners for our special guests.
*They will be performing on Saturday at the Performing Arts Centre @ 3:00.

Last thing in the day, students continued their Legends projects.  Some added background scenes to their green screen, others continued to practice for filming.

We also put our desks into rows (from groups of four) in an attempt to minimize talking.
