Good afternoon, all!

Here's our day:

The kids performed the Mummer Song for me in the class before heading off to Music with Mr. Redding.  You'll hear it at our year-end celebration June 25th.  (More info to follow)

We reviewed pronouns next, then did a fun worksheet about adverbs.  One assignment was extended to replace the noun with a pronoun in the sentence.  Your child has added this to their sheet so ask him/her about it.

After recess, we re-visited fractions: comparing size and adding and subtracting fractions with the same denominators (bottoms).  We extended this, too, writing mixed fractions when the numerator (top) was greater than the denominator.  The students were just to work to the page where they wrote: "Don't do yet!"

*Both the adverbs and fractions packages are due tomorrow!

After PE and lunch, the Hudson Bay Lowlands quiz was returned.  Students were asked, once again, to use their information package to make corrections and show me.  Also, remember to initial the quiz for a bonus point!

Next, we read through, discussed, and highlighted the St. Lawrence Lowlands geographical region.  We only got through the first page and labeled the Great Lakes on the map in the package.  We will continue this next class.

*FIELD TRIP TOMORROW!  Sturgeon Release at Shelter Bay!  The bus leaves at 10:45 and returns at 2:00.  Dress appropriately for the weather and bring a good lunch and some water.  There are toilets on site, by the way.

**CLASS PHOTO FIRST THING IN THE MORNING!!  Get lots of sleep tonight:)

***I updated the "Important Dates" on this blog so check them out.  They should be most of them up to the end of June 2018.
