Good day, folks.  Here's what we did today:

We started our day writing the Hudson Bay Lowlands quiz, the fourth geographical region of our Canadian study so far.

Then I started to lead the students through a research / note-taking lesson about the level of organization in the human body (cells - tissues - organs - body systems).  We looked at a video and read some pages in the B.C. Science PROBE 5 textbook.  I led the students through the process while they recorded the notes for themselves in their notebooks.
*This was to demonstrate how to do the same as they learn about their chosen human body system.  (See yesterday's post and assignment description.)

The students had a little bit of time to also start their body system of choice.

The videos we watched are linked here:

Somewhere in there we had a school run just before recess.

The above took us all morning.  After lunch, we had a special PAUSE for Mental Health session with Nikki Lussier.  Parents who were able to attend were treated to lunch before participating in a presentation, a variety of stations, and final debrief.

We ended our day simply cleaning up and emptying desks as if it was Friday.  Tomorrow is Professional Development Day for teachers so no school for students.
